IRELAND'S POET-PATRIOTS, A Musical Tribute, is a full length concert for orchestra, chorus, Irish Traditional Music ensemble, and vocal soloists (classical and Irish trad) in 16 movements, each of which is a musical reflection on an important event in Ireland’s history from 1601 to 1916.

A melodic marriage of European classical music and the rich Irish traditional music of airs, reels and jigs, Richard B. Evans’ compositions and arrangements bring to life the words of 10 Irish patriots who spoke to the cause of Ireland’s freedom during their time –  Robert Emmet, Jeremiah O’Donovan Rossa, William Butler Yeats, Maud Gonne, Ella Young, George William Russell (A.E.), James Connolly, Pádraic Pearse, Peadar Kearney and Francis Ledwidge. 16 movements, each of which is a musical reflection on an important event in Ireland’s history from 1601 to 1916. Brief segments of narration give context to the writings and their historical importance.

IRELAND'S POET-PATRIOTS, A Musical Tribute, honors and celebrates the intimate historic, cultural, literary, and personal bonds between the peoples of Ireland and the peoples of the United States

Composed, Adapted and Orchestrated by Richard B. Evans.
